Nupur Sidhu Bal

Nupur S. BalAfter practicing law for two years, Nupur Sidhu Bal joined The Lewis Law Firm as an associate in 2007. In her practice of domestic relations law, Nupur places a great deal of emphasis on the dignity and integrity of her clients while working diligently to devise innovative legal strategies to resolve complex issues.

In 2002, Nupur received her B.A. from Emory University, where she was a member of the Alpha Kappa Delta Honor Society and Dean's List. She was also an elected executive committee member of the Pre-Law Society, College Council, Residence Hall Association, and the founder of a political and social forum for South Asian women on campus, Saheliya. In 2001, Nupur served as a congressional intern for the Honorable Harold Ford Jr. through the Washington Leadership Program, focusing her time on Capitol Hill on educational reform. In 2005, Nupur received her J.D. from the Tulane University School of Law where she served as Speaker Chair of the Law Women Alliance and was invited to be a member of the Tulane Inn of Court. 

Nupur is licensed to practice law in Tennessee, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, Virginia & Fairfax Bar Associations, the District of Columbia Bar Association, and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association. An active member of the Virginia Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division, Nupur serves as Membership Chair and Legal Food Frenzy Co-Chair for the Northern Virginia region. 

Nupur additionally volunteers her time and services pro bono for various legal programs and has worked with the Coalition to End Prostituted Youth, Project Open Hand, Habitat for Humanity, and Meals on Wheels. Nupur is fluent in Hindi and Punjabi.
